Gelebte Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, interkulturelle und internationale Perspektiven im eigenen Arbeitsbereich, Vereinbarkeit von Wissenschaft bzw. Beruf und Familie, ein inklusives Arbeitsumfeld – das alles ist gelebte Vielfalt, das alles ist die Universität Würzburg. Das wollen wir sichtbar und erfahrbar machen, indem wir vielfältige Wege in die Wissenschaft und in die wissenschaftsstützenden Bereiche der Universität Würzburg vorstellen.

Our formats

There are two possibilities: 1) An interview on your own path to JMU or 2) You can be a patron for a historical personality at JMU.

Registration

Please send us an email with the subject “Participation WueSeeYou SoSe23” to ufbteam@uni-wuerzburg.de by 25th April 2023 at the latest.

Preparation

In a first step, you will receive our guiding questions with the request to write down a few (few) keywords for each of the six questions about what you would like to address in the interview. This way, the students know which topic focus should be set. At the same time, you as the protagonist of the report can prepare yourself for the type of questions addressed at you. However, please refrain from bringing a ready-made script to the interview and reading it out. The interview lives from your spontaneity!

Diversity characteristics in the context of studying and teaching: diagram with centre and three ring levels around it. Personality is in the centre. Then come the "Inner Dimensions" ring: Age, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Mental and Physical Abilities, Ethnicity/Geographic Origin, Social Origin. After that comes the "External Dimensions" ring: Place of residence, Economic background, Habitus/habits, Leisure behaviour, Religion/belief, Education/work experience, Skills, Appearance, Cultural background, Marital status, Place of residence. The outermost ring is "organisational dimensions": field of study/subject, member and status group, department/faculty/institute, central facilities, duration of studies, place of study, research content/teaching content, full-time/part-time studies.

We see ourselves as a growing project. In autumn 2022, we were able to start with the pilot of the project and we would like to thank all the protagonists of the first interviews. In spring 2023, we will begin to continue the interviews and look forward to add interviews and further perspectives from the university community.
